In the island of Kos,in Greece, migrants were rescued and temporarily placed in tents. Many NGO associations helped them not only with clothes and food but also with information regarding the journey to the next destination, which was the journey by ferry that took them to Athens. Usually they stayed in the island not more than two to three days and locals were friendly to the newcomers. The makeshift boats and life jackets used by migrants during the crossing remained in the port to witness their journey. I was on the island for four days to get these photos. They had different stories: who took the journey together with the family, others with friends and those who took it alone sharing the same goal for a better future
